My mother bought a set of these back in the early 70’s. However, until I went to a home party in 1985, did I realize her set was Lustre Craft. At any rate the demo guy cooked everything on one burner, at medium heat. Everything turned out amazing. The meatloaf was cooked perfectly, as were all the side dishes. He cooked peas, carrots, and corn…in separate piles, together, in the same pan. Unfortunately, the veggies charred a little. I decided to taste them anyway and to my chagrin, not one of the 3 took on the flavor of the other. The real kicker though, was that the char didn’t have a burnt taste. I bought the deluxe set right then and there. The best $1500.00 I ever spent. I still have my original set plus a few additional pieces picked up along the way in my life. As a private chef, I have used my set more than the average person. I today, 33, years later have to replace 2 knobs on a couple of lids. my pans and skillets still look as shiny new as the day I bought them.
