I bought my cookware with one of my first paychecks in 1971. Other than a few non-stick throw away pans I used these pots daily raising 4 boys eating constantly. I am so very happy that I replaced the handles. I was having fears of the handles giving away while bring pots of boiling water to the sink. After 50 years of daily use on an antique gas stove this was a a smart choice. 3 of the most used pots, the handles shattered upon removal. The new handles and lid knobs make my beautiful set new again. Now I will have to decide to which son I will leave my cookware in my will.
