Chia & Cherry Granola

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup brown rice syrup
  • 4 tbsp. runny honey
  • 1/2 date palm sugar
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 3 tbsp. virgin coconut oil heat to liquify
  • 1 1/2 cups dried unsweetened cherries chopped

Equipment

  • Large Cookie Sheet

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Mix all the ingredients together except the cherries and spread evenly over the Large Cookie Sheet.
  3. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Mix it up with a wooden spoon every ten minutes, making certain to turn the browned granola from the top, to the bottom.
  4. Allow the granola to cool before transferring to an airtight glass or stainless steel jar.
